3/14/2018 Shifting Gears“Come, follow me,” Jesus said, “and I will send you out to fish for people.” Matt 4:19 NIV The IMPACTOnetwork Training Center was home to a Discipleshift 1 training March 7-8. We had over 30 people in attendance from Querétaro and the region to learn more about the importance of discipleship and practical ways to live it out. Time was spent in large groups and small groups to experience and practice discipleship the way that Jesus modeled it. We are grateful for Jeff and Shae from Riverside Church in Ft Myers, FL and David from Real Life Ministries in Post Falls, Idaho who took a week of their lives to invest in churches here in Mexico. We continue to build a network of churches who work together and search for ways to equip them to better reach their communities. We had people in attendance from 10 churches around the region who are able to share these principles with their congregations. It is exciting to see what God will do through this training as it is applied in different congregations and contexts. March 15-17 IMPACTOnetwork will hold three financial seminars in Querétaro and Pachuca. David Toussaint, of COMPASS Financial ministries will be teaching these sessions which are in partnership with local churches and open to the public. These seminars serve to provide resources to churches and individuals as we continue to build the network. The IMPACTO Latino team is moving forward with preparations for the launch of the first church. We have chosen May 20th as launch day. We have also selected a lead pastor for this church plant. He will not be able to join us in Querétaro until December as he is working with his current congregation in their leadership transition. He will be active in the launch process, participating through teleconferencing and monthly visits. Please pray for the leadership team as we move forward with planning all the details that go into a new church plant. Please pray for the lead pastor and his family during this time of transition.
We are working on the transition with the congregation meeting at the local Bible college. The announcement will be made in early April. The current pastor, Josh and his wife will be part of the new congregation and shepherding the people who make the move to the church plant. Please pray the congregation will be excited and buy into the vision of the new church plant. Comments are closed.
