The Pachuca Project

An Overview

The Pachuca Project began in 1995 with evangelistic Bible Studies and the first Celebration Service was held on January 6, 1996 with 14 individuals present.  Today the New Hope church is a congregation of close to 400 and continues to expand its cell ministry throughout Pachuca.

In 2006 plans were made for the first multiplication of the New Hope church to a second congregation.  A group of 30 members of New Hope were invited to participate in the founding of the Jubilee Christian Church on the eastside of Pachuca.  On February 11, 2007 the New Hope church commissioned this core group and also installed the two elders of the new congregation.

Missionary, Eric Duggins and National Ministry Workers, Jorge Del Angel were named as Elders of this new congregation.  On February 18 the first worship service was held in the Hotel Del Valle Inn by the State University of Hidalgo.  91 people were present for this first celebration.  The congregation is now running close to 65 people and its first six cells will began to meet in March 2007.

They are presently renting a building for the Jubilee congregation that is also serving as the facility of the Friendship Institute, IMPACTO Latino's English outreach in Pachuca.  The building hqw space for a Christian Bookstore and eventually an Internet CafĂ© as an outreach to the youth in the area of this facility.

IMPACTO Latino's Pachuca Project is an expanding church planting project.  Prayers and vision are already in the works for the third congregation in the Pachuca area.  Though a few years away, this third congregation will be the next step as the New Hope and the Jubilee congregations work together to launch the next exciting project.
