The IMPACTO Latino team has been working diligently getting programs and processes set up for the IMPACTOnetwork church planting project. Héctor, as Director of Recruitment in Mexico, has been designing the whole process of contact and follow up with church planting candidates. He has devoted time developing interview questions both for candidates and references, official forms to be used at each step, and a road map of the process from the first contact until the candidate (if selected) is invited to the evaluation weekend. He's currently working with the multimedia department to get everything on the website so that candidates can access and submit different parts of the application online. It's been a complex journey getting things in place and we look forward to how God will bring qualified candidates through this process as the first step in impacting Mexico's cities with Christ's love. He's also been invited to preach at a few churches and is representing the project in that way as well. |
Joy has been working on updating communications and fundraising pieces for the IMPACTO Latino team. Eric and Dee Duggins are in the US this fall visiting churches and supporters to raise funds for future church plants. Joy worked in tandem with the NMSI communications department to create or update 4 new ways to communicate with our supporters what God is doing here through the IMPACTOnetwork church planting project. She has also been working with Sergio Alvarado and the multimedia team in Querétaro on our new logo as well as how to best communicate to Mexican churches and believers what we do and how we can help them fulfill God's call on their lives. We are excited to have the opportunity to attend the International Conference on Missions November 16-18 in Peoria, IL. We will also attend the IMPACTO Latino board meeting and visit 2 supporting churches before spending Thanksgiving with family for the first time in 11 years! Thanks for your generous support that makes our ministry possible! | Along with growth in our ministry roles, our family is growing in another way. Lord willing, in March we will have a new member of our family! Please pray for us as we prepare for the arrival of our "little bean." Pray that God will give us wisdom to parent this little one to be strong and courageous in Christ. Pray for the health of Joy and the baby as the pregnancy continues (so far, so good!). There are different cultural and political things we are dealing with (customs, hospital procedures, registering at the Embassy after birth, etc) and we covet your prayers as we navigate these new systems! |
