12/23/2020 ¡Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!We are thankful for you! This year is ending with great blessings for our family and ministry and even though things haven't been easy due to the pandemic and the craziness in the world our team was able to plant The Anchor church and many have been able to hear about Jesus and His love. La Viña church was able to proclaim the Gospel and 24 people were baptized in 2020. Also, our new residents Tony and Jackie Moreno are getting ready for a new church plant next year in Merida, Yucatan.
You are a big part of what God is doing in Mexico. Thank you for your prayers and support. We are thankful for our partnership and how our God has blessed us through you. We want to wish you a Merry Christmas from our family to yours. We pray that you will receive our Lord`s blessings upon you and your family and that you will have a happy and prosperous New Year. Bendiciones, The Alvarados 4/19/2018 Alvarado Family - April 2018 Update!“Bear one another’s burdens and thereby fulfill the law of the Lord.” Galatians 6:2 As you have been investing here in Mexico, one of our main focuses has been discipling three couples, to encourage and empower them to grow in their ministries. It has filled our hearts to see them setting goals and reaching new levels of maturity in their walk with the Lord and in their faithfulness to carry out the call God has placed on their heart.
The work that has been developed through IMPACTOnetwork has been extensive and we are extremely proud of our team. The work seems to be never ending and even overwhelming at times. But as more team members join we hope to see more responsibilities delegated. It is exciting to see what has been planned and envisioned coming to being, and most of all it is amazing to look forward to all the amazing things we know God has in store for Querétaro and other parts of Mexico though IMPACTOnetwork and those who sustain our ministry, our team, and our family. Please pray
The Lord constantly reminds us that He is the one that sustains us and that he is the one that straightens us. He is the Rock of Israel. He is our Rock. Thank your for praying for each one of us and taking time and resources to invest in our ministry and family. “But his bow remained strong and his arms were strengthened by the Mighty One of Jacob, the Shepherd, the Rock of Israel. “ 12/22/2017 CHRISTMAS GREETINGSMerry Christmas and Happy New Year from our family to yours! We hope this season is full of love, joy and blessings for you and those around you. May our Lord`s mercy´s be with you always!
We are so excited to be able to share with you everything that the Lord is doing here in Querétaro, Mexico. Your prayers and support truly sustain us day in and day out. We are so blessed with being able to have you in our lives. Though we might be far away, we know that distance isn’t an obstacle for good friendships and for those of us who trust and love Him who gave it all. We thank you again for all you do for our family. It means so much to us to know that you are part of reaching the lost here in Mexico. Blessing always! May your Christmas be filled with love, joy, family and friends. Have a great New Year. May it be filled with so much more of what you do for others and His Kingdom. 10/16/2017 October 2017 Update and Prayer Requests
The main thing we have been working on is translating materials and adapting them to the culture here in Mexico and to our needs. We are organizing and designing all of the printable materials. Food, flights, schedules, and need to be coordinated for every event we are planing. We have also been meeting with a few couples each week to do coaching. This is something that will be ongoing as we have new Church Plating couples. Our first official activity that we will be promoting as IMPACTOnetwork will be the Assessment for Church Planters in February The Assessment for Church Planters will include our Mexican Church Planting Candidates and both American and Mexican Observers who will give us recommendations for the first Church Plant Pastor and two full time Resident couples. And non of the things above includes any personal, family things that we try to make time to do, which we are try to coordinate with all of the work that is being done. But God has been so good and provided so much good material and partners to provide those materials. I know we say this a lot, but we also have an amazing team that loves the Lord and does everything possible so that the Church Planting vision will be accomplished. Abby, Emily and Eric seem to be growing so fast. There is never a dull moment! They like to play outside in the neighborhood and for the first time we feel comfortable with them going out on their own, without any adult supervision, and just checking in once in a while. Homeschooling has gone really well and though grandma isn't around for a couple of months Holly has been able to keep her head above water. They are learning a great deal and are always full of questions and interesting conversations as we study all kinds of subjects.
Once again, thank you for being a part of what we do here in Mexico. Every prayer is appreciated and each day that we work we are so grateful for all that you do and give for our ministry here in Mexico and being an important part of reaching the lost for Christ. PRAYER REQUESTS
8/1/2017 August 2017 Update & Prayer RequestsAugust is here and we are excited about what has been going on in our lives and ministries. June and July have been full of getting materials together for the trainings and assessments that we will be teaching to our church planters in 2018. We are also working on getting contacts for potential couples that feel called to plant a church. Please pray God gives us direction and wisdom through the whole process. Our team mates that were still in Pachuca are now settled into their new homes in Querétaro and said their good byes to brothers and sisters from the Jubilee church. We are glad to have them here now and be able to work side by side. Because of some of the plans we have later on in the year, Holly will be starting Homeschool this week. Dee will also be helping with Homeschool two days a week. Please pray it will be a good time of learning for the kids and that ¨mommy` and ’`grandma¨ will be able to have the energy and patience to teach and be good motivators. Apart from homeschooling Holly is working on the assessment materials and development of the assessment process. Pray that we can all stay healthy and that we have the energy to do all that we have set before us. We are excited about the new church plant next year and ask that you pray for God to give us wisdom and discernment as we get to know couples that feel a call to plant a church. Please keep these future church planting couples in your prayers as we meet with them and make a commitment to partner in this adventure. Again, we thank each of you for your partnership and support. Together we will reach the people of Mexico for Christ. You are close to our heart and part of our ministry. May God bless you and keep you always. Holly, Sergio, Abby, Emily and Eric J. Some pictures we want to share with you!We hope the excitement of our updates has been contagious and has encouraged you. We want to thank you for taking the time to read, pray and partner with us in our ministry. If you did not get a chance to read about our exciting new project the IMPACTOnetwork, you can read more here: Let´s celebrate together - More than 1,200 people reached in Pachuca We have been in the US for about 8 months now and go back to Mexico in January. We have been raising the support we need to do ministry in Mexico. Though we have raised some additional support, unfortunately we have not met our goal to raise $1,000 more a month yet, and we are still looking for new commitments and partners in our ministry.
To make it conveniente for you you can go online here to our personal GIVING page at NMSI, and set up a monthly recurring giving amount: Every little bit helps And every little bit will have an IMPACT in reaching the people of Mexico for Christ. Thank you again for all that you do and being part in the journey with us. Bendiciones, The Alvarados Sergio, Holly, Abby, Emily and Eric Alvarado We are excited to share with you what God has been able to accomplish through IMPACTO Latino´s team, our board of advisors, and you as one of our prayer warriors and financial partners. We all are part of the team to reach the people of Mexico for Christ. Today, through the efforts of the Pachuca Project, more than 1,200 people have been reached for Christ. The Pachuca Project started a movement of churches that are now planting other churches. That is the case of New Hope, the first church planted in the city which is the mother church of other 4 churches. Also, at the beginning of 2016, the Jubilee church just planted a new church called “The Fortress”. In total there are 5 churches in the city and one in a rural community where Spanish is actually their second language. Today, on any giving Sunday there are more than 1,200 people worshipping Jesus, but that´s not all, through the cell group system, believers are reaching their families, friends, and neighbors and discipling them personally. We want to take this time to share with you and celebrate what God has done through your prayers and support and the efforts of the whole team.
Introducing the IMPACTOnetwork After seeing what God was already doing in Pachuca we started to pray, and seek for direction as to what our next endeavor was going to be. So, after several months of prayer and talking with the rest of the team, we felt that God was leading us to start a church planting training center in Mexico. We will start by recruiting church planters, train them, fund their churches for the first crucial years, coach them and create a network of churches that are willing to work together. We want to plant churches that are passionate to reach the lost and committed to plant new churches to reach the people of Mexico for Christ. It is a big vision, and we are very excited, but we realize this project will require a lot of prayer, a lot of work and financial support. So we are seeking and looking for partnerships that will help us accomplish the vision to plant two churches per year starting in 2018. Our ultimate goal is to see Mexico not be a mission field anymore, but instead send Mexican missionaries to the world. We need financial support as we run the training center and to fund the churches that will be planted every year. But most importantly right now we need financial support as a family to be able to live in Mexico and run the IMPACTOnetwork. We want to invite you to prayerfully consider to start supporting us or increase your support to our family and our ministry. You can start by committing a monthly amount or increasing what you already give. Also, you can give one-time gifts that will help us as we relocate to a new city in central Mexico. To make it conveniente for you you can go online here to our personal GIVING page at NMSI, and set up a monthly recurring giving amount: Every little bit helps And every little bit will have an IMPACT in reaching the people of Mexico for Christ. If you would like to learn more about the STRATEGY of the IMPACTOnetwork you can read more here: http://www.impactolatino.org/strategy.html We want to thank you again for your generosity and being part of the team of reaching the people of Mexico for Christ. We pray that God will multiply the investment and your hard work a hundred times and that it will bear much fruit. Bendiciones, The Alvarados Sergio, Holly, Abby, Emily and Eric Alvarado We thank God for your life and your faithfulness to reach the lost. |
