Thank you so much for your prayers on behalf of the Avanza event. It was exciting to see what God was doing during this time. The observers began on Wednesday with orientation and workshops given by David Cauble, Stadia’s Director of Planter Discovery. On Thursday, the 14 candidates (7 couples) arrived in the afternoon and got right to work. There were times of team challenges, large group activities, presentations, workshops, exams, and even homework! Many of us mentioned it was incredible to see how the candidates all came together to work as teams with complimentary strengths. The observers had the important task of studying the personality/gifting tests and materials they received before Avanza as well as analyzing candidates as they participated in all of the aspects of the event. Over the course of Avanza, the observer teams used wisdom and discernment in order to arrive at a final recommendation for each couple at the end. Please pray for our IMPACTOnetwork team which will now make decisions based on these recommendations. We need God’s guidance to determine the next steps in the church planting process. We know that God has great things in store for this new church plant and we are thankful to be a part of this important work. Coming up next on the calendar are 2 important events in March. IMPACTOnetwork will be holding a Discipleshift conference on March 7-8 for church leaders in Querétaro (and Pachuca) that focuses on the importance of discipleship in congregations. We are excited to also have some students from UCM (Mexico Christian University) in attendance for this event.
March 15-17 IMPACTOnetwork will also give three financial seminars, two in Querétaro and one in Pachuca. David Toussaint from COMPASS Financial ministries will be teaching on "Finances God's Way." These seminars will be a blessing for church leaders and members as well as UCM students. Please pray for the leaders traveling to Mexico for these important events as well as those who will be in attendance. The events are back to back for our team (including hosting guests from the US) and will require much coordination and work. We are grateful for your prayers for these events as they are effective ways of connecting with and supporting local churches. Comments are closed.
