The IMPACTO Latino team is in high gear setting the ground work for the new IMPACTOnetwork church planting project. The Alvarado Family returned to México in January and moved to the city of Querétaro where they are working on setting up the new office and training center. The Duggins Family is transitioning out of responsibilities at Jubilee Christian Church in Pachuca and focusing on the move to Querétaro as well as serving as NMSI's Americas Regional Director. The Rodríguez Family continues to serve at Jubilee Christian Church in a family and a youth cell group and also on the worship team.
Last week, Eric, Héctor, Sergio, and Holly traveled to Mexico City to attend the City to City Latin America Conference to learn more about urban church planting movements. Well known pastor and author, Tim Keller was the main speaker who used the stories of Jonah, Esther, and others to focus on topics close to the heart of our team such as the importance of reaching cities and different urban strategies.
Our team is working hard to develop training materials that will be beneficial, informative, and effectively equip church planters who will transform their communities. At our last team meetings we saw around eighty topics that we believe are necessary for church planters to learn about. Developing written materials, as well as recording and editing video so that training can be done remotely, is an intense process!
Please pray for:
- IMPACTO Latino team retreat February 24-25
- Location for the new IMPACTOnetwork offices and training center
- Smooth transition away from Jubilee Christian Church
- Upcoming promotional and recruiting trips within Mexico
- New and continued partnership for new church plants
