November Church Planting Update
Mexico is a spiritually dark place more than normal during the late fall with Halloween and Day of the Dead celebrations. IMPACTOnetwork church plants are being light in this season with "Festival of Light" activities. All three Querétaro church plants, La Viña, El Ancla, and Expansión, held a "Festival of Light" celebration where people dressed up as community helpers, fairy tale characters, and super heroes. There were games, a performance, and most importantly, the message that Jesus is the Light in darkness.
The congregations are also all focused on stewardship in the month of November. Members will be challenged to make a financial commitment for 2023 with which the Management Team (functioning as Elders) will create a ministry budget for next year. Please pray that the teaching during this time will convict people to be active and generous givers in their churches.
The Mérida church plant team has been making contacts in their new city since arriving in July. They have started having Alpha evangelistic studies with people they have met. Please pray for Tony, Jackie, Montse, and Deborah as they make new friends in Mérida with whom they can share the Gospel.
