The new Expansión church plant officially launched on April 24th. There were 31 people in attendance at the launch. The two online Life Groups have 21 people participating. On April 30th, the team held a mini carnival for Children's Day in the Community Pastor's neighborhood. They connected with non Christian families to start building relationships in order to share the love of Christ. Please be praying for the Expansión team as they continue to find creative ways to connect people to Jesus online and in person.
El Ancla celebrated three baptisms in April! Daniela, Leova, and Rayhan all committed their lives to Christ in baptism. They also held a "Surrender Retreat" with thirteen participants who will start the Discipleship 2 course later this month. Their AnclaKIDS team organized a big party for their students on May 1st to celebrate Children's Day. Please pray for church planter, Andrés García and his leadership team as they continue to develop new ways to reach the unchurched El Mirador neighborhood.
It's been a great month at La Viña! There were 6 more baptisms on April 17th, for a total of 14 so far this year. Praise God with us for these new believers. On May 1st, they celebrated Children's Day with a huge party for the Children's Ministry areas. There were games, pizza, and lots of prizes. The congregation did a great job donating toys so that all the kids could go home with new, fun items.
IMPACTOLatino is excited to again participate in New International's Miles for Missions initiative. On Saturday May 28th, people around the globe will cover miles and pray for global missions. Our goal as a team is to cross Mexico (figuratively) from Tijuana on the Pacific Ocean to Mérida on the Caribbean Sea for a total of 2954 miles. You can join our Mexico Miles team here. Another way to participate is with a financial donation of $295.40 ($0.10 per mile), $147.70 ($0.05 per mile), $29.54 ($0.01 per mile) or any other amount that will go to church planting in Mexico's largest cities.
