STRATEGY

As catalysts for church planting in major urban cities in Mexico, we identify potential key planters, enable them to form teams, and provide needed resources to plant churches in their own area and context.

Our ultimate hope for Mexico is to see it no longer be a mission field at all. All of our church planting efforts are aimed squarely at local empowerment so that Mexico’s churches might become more and more vibrant, mature, and strong.

John 4:35-38, in essence, says, we have been sent to harvest what others have planted. The
IMPACTOnetwork, is a reflection of what Jesus says in that passage. Many missionaries have invested their lives and resources for more than a century and have prepared the fields for the harvest. Today, a new generation is being raised up and is willing to spend their lives to serve the kingdom.

They are willing to do what they have seen others do and what they have learned.  They are willing to harvest the ripe fields. IMPACTO
Latino, through the IMPACTOnetwork, will recruit, train, form teams, provide needed resources, and coach new church plant teams, based on the principles of the successful churches already planted. The goal is to multiply the efforts of what has been done by recruiting, training, and sending teams of individuals to start new urban churches in Mexico.

Our goal is to provide the new church plant with the following resources, helping them to overcome these challenges:
  1. Recruiting and team formation
  2. Training in several areas of church planting
  3. Funding new church plants
  4. Coaching, accountability, and counseling
  5. Networking and movement making

We prepare the leaders that are being raised up
by our LORD for Kingdom service.

THE STRATEGY

To plant new, dynamic, self-sustaining, and passionate urban churches around Mexico. The main focus is to identify potential key church planters, enable them to form a team, and provide needed resources to plant churches in their own area and context.  We believe church planting is the best way to evangelize, disciple, and provide pastoral care to new believers.

RECRUITING

We believe and value the team approach to church planting. Our efforts are focused on helping church planters form healthy teams. The church plant will become more effective, fruitful, more enjoyable and less of a burden, by working as a team, instead of the responsibility falling on a single family or individual.

We endeavor to see that each team includes the church planter (lead pastor), a missionary or missionaries, interns, and national residents. All of them bring to the table their own gifts and talents to provide the new church plant a combination of skills that reach more people for Christ, make disciples and build a mature church body.

We also form prayer teams (Mexican and international) that commit to pray for these new churches.

TRAINING

IMPACTO Latino’s network provides vision and direction for new churches in strategic urban areas of Mexico. We emphasize the contextualization of each new church to its specific urban setting.

Training is a very important part of what the IMPACTOnetwork has to offer new church planting teams. This training consists of the basic adaptable principles which will prepare them to flourish and thrive in their given context.

The IMPACTOnetwork will provide direction and vision for the long run, based on the 6 principles of IMPACTO Latino's church plants.
  1. Planting churches with multi-national teams
  2. Planting churches that will become self-sustaining
  3. Planting churches committed to living in community
  4. Planting churches that will transform an entire city
  5. Planting churches that are committed to developing national leaders
  6. Planting churches that will multiply

We understand that every church is and will be unique and that something that works in a specific setting may not work in a different one—even if the church plants are in the same city.

FUNDING

By partnering with sponsoring churches in the United States and Mexico, we intend to provide the financial funding needed to start new church plants based in the context of the church planter and his community.

Financial funding can include, but will be not limited to, providing a salary for the first 3 to 5 years for the church planter, paying rent and utilities of facilities and provide scholarships to residents participating in that specific church plant.

Funding will be provided for the first years of the church plant.  Additional funding after the first 3 to 5 years will be on an as-needed basis—meaning that, as the new church plant is able to cover more of their own expenses, the funding provided by IMPACTOnetwork will decrease accordingly.

Funding will be evaluated and set each year during the annual planning meeting, based on budget for the following year.  Funding will be provided in several ways to the church planting team.  We will provide for set-up costs as well as sustaining church needs throughout the year.

COACHING

The IMPACTOnetwork provides ongoing coaching to ensure the teams are on the right track, to make sure team relationships are healthy, and their efforts will be fruitful. We provide an open environment outside of their local team.

We greatly value ongoing discipleship, training and counseling.
We provide this by implementing a coaching system to help the church planting team:
• Set personal and ministerial goals
• Evaluate and track goals
• Talk freely about personal and team issues
• Have a sense of accountability and personal responsibility
• Have someone trustworthy to talk to

In new churches there can be a lack of accountability since there is often no board of elders to whom the pastor and staff are accountable, creating a large potential for abuse. We provide a system whereby every church planter is accountable to their coach—at least at the beginning stage and until an effective eldership is in place.

NETWORKING

A network of churches impacts not only their own cities and communities, but the whole country. We intentionally and pro-actively network these new congregations in the IMPACTOnetwork by...
  • Developing leaders with a vision that is greater than just one church, city or country.
  • Teaching churches to give back to future church planting projects.
  • Inviting successful church planters to participate in training of new planters.
  • IMPACTO Latino will provide conferences and retreats for network church leaders.
  • Church teams and their church members will be encouraged to be involved in nationwide campaigns, programs and events.

The church is where new believers are
equipped to fulfill the great commission.

PARTNERSHIPS

The IMPACTOnetwork has developed a wide range of partners that will be part of the assessment, training and deployment of the church planting teams:

IN MEXICO:
  • Partnering with Christian educational institutions in Mexico allows us to add training and education value to those programs, and at the same time introduce us to potential new church planters.
  • Partnering with congregations of similar vision, especially among the church plants that were part of the Pachuca Project.

IN THE UNITED STATES:
  • Partnerships with Christian colleges and universities to develop educational modules that are beneficial to their Mission programs.  These partnerships should lead to contacts with potential missionary recruits that would become part of our multi-national teams for church planting.  The IMPACTOnetwork, is a training tool for missionary recruits interested in Latin America and Mexico specifically.
  • The IMPACTOnetwork is developing a network of visionary congregations that have experience in birthing new congregations and have a vision for the Great Commission.  These congregations will be able to supply training and assessment tools that will be beneficial to the on-going church planting project.  STM groups would be paired with new church plants to do special projects and events to expand evangelism and community outreach for those new Mexican congregations.
  • Partnership with other missions that have a similar vision and ministry philosophy, combining personnel and resources to reach urban Mexico.
  • Partnerships with other church planting agencies is a high priority as IMPACTOnetwork continually develops its training, assessment, and coaching systems.

God is calling! How will you respond?
